Focus Power worked with our client, who offer UPS systems, electrical contracting, FM & building maintenance, to provide a back-up power solution for a distribution warehouse.
The client originally wanted a monolithic solution, but due to the very limited amount of available space and the need for a long runtime with some redundancy and room for expansion we were able to review the requirement and offer an alternative modular system with hot-swappable power modules and battery packs that not only met all the client’s logistical demands but was also less expensive than their original preference. The modular, hot-swappable design provides redundancy with reduced or zero downtime for repairs. We supplied, installed and commissioned a 15kVA Socomec Modyulys XS system consisting of 6 x 2.5kVA modules and 10-year life battery packs.
